Issamay International Beauty is a premier institution for the training of skill-based education. Since the founding of Issamay in 1984 by Ms Joon L Wong, Issamay has been accredited by Malaysian National Skills Development Department for Malaysian Skills certificate, International Therapy Education Council UK (ITEC), Confederation of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology UK (CIBTAC), and Comite International d’ Esthetque et de Cosmetologie Diploma (CIDESCO), Switzerland.
Issamay aims to provide a superior and holistic skill-based education in beauty and complementary therapies and to provide positive career opportunities.
The Issamay curriculum is custom tailored to fit every student’s private needs and expectations, and to prepare them to excel in their coursework, examinations and eventually, the real world.
Issamay has trained thousands of students in Beauty and Complementary Therapies both from Malaysia and overseas since its inception. Her alumni hails from countries like Japan, Middle East, The Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, China, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Germany and of course local Malaysians.
Her Principal is also an international examiner for CIDESCO. She has co-authored two textbooks in Beauty Therapy for the Malaysian Ministry of Education. Her motto is “To teach is to touch a life forever”.
